In 1973 our founders, David Adams and Frank Cundell, established Adams Cundell Engineers Ltd as a small plant and tool rental company. In the early days, the business focussed more on items like mowers and more horticultural based equipment. Eventually, we became involved in tractor hire, telehandler hire and the hire of various other types of larger equipment and grew into the diverse specialist plant hire company that we are today.
We have since grown and diversified into many different industries such as Quarrying, Construction, Civil Engineering, Waste Management, Demolition, Recycling, Airports and the Events industry to name but a few. Our modern fleet of hire and sales equipment is suitable for many different types of applications
With a solid history in engineering, we also have the knowledge and expertise to build bespoke products to meet specific customer requirements. Many of the bespoke builds we have completed in the past do not actually exist on the open market but were required by our customers for very specialist purposes.
Our Ford 4000 tractor (pictured) was the first tractor we ever purchased and we still own it today - not available for hire though, sorry! - Our fleet of tractors has now grown into over 100 John Deeres, after seeing Case, Ford / New Holland and McCormic machines pass through the fleet over the years.
In 2016, we became part of Buckingham Plant Hire and we both supply equipment into Buckingham Group Contracting who are a 'Total Construction Solutions' specialist.
At Ace Plant, with all of the diversification and the many years of trading, we do our utmost to remember our roots and where we came from - A company with humble beginnings who pride themselves on outstanding customer service where nothing is too much trouble.
