Job Description

  • You will need to be a fantastic communicator, a natural salesperson, ambitious and incredibly motivated to grow our customer base as well as manage and maintain our existing customers.
  • You will have the determination to close the right deals and the appetite to meet and exceed your targets.
  • You will be able to work as both part of a team and individually (when required) whilst managing your time and workload efficiently and effectively.
  • You are skilled in multi-tasking and able to manage multiple customer accounts and leads simultaneously, with a flair for organisation and prioritisation.
  • You are able to work to tight deadlines and you respond positively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and establishing new business with new and existing customers (in both hire and sales).
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements
  • Sometimes required to support marketing activities by attending trade exhibitions, conferences and other events - such as our exhibition stand at the Hillhead Quarry Show etc.
  • Proactively identifying areas of improvement of internal and external processes.
  • Appropriate customer experience management.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for your customer base.
  • Visiting customers on site; such as landfill sites, construction sites, demolition sites etc and adhering to site safety at all times

Key Personal Attributes/Skills

  • Proven Sales Experience in a similar position is essential.
  • Proven track record in managing a large portfolio of customers desired.
  • Knowledge of Construction and/or Agricultural Equipment desired.
  • Knowledge of Tool & Plant Hire Industry desired.
  • Basic IT skills essential.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
