Ace Plant recently supplied Ace Liftaway, a leading waste management and recycling company, with an 1800-litre Quickspray unit for their expansive 15-acre recycling centre in Romsey, Hampshire.
Founded in 1988 by Philip and Melanie Liddell, Ace Liftaway offers a full range of waste management services across Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Dorset. Their operations cover construction and demolition (C&D) waste, commercial and industrial (C&I) waste, along with services including skip bag hire, wheelie bin rental, portable toilet hire under the brand Ace Loos, and the supply of recycled aggregate.
A Perfect Fit for an Efficient Fleet
After discovering the Quickspray in a trade magazine, Managing Director Philip Liddell was drawn to its simplicity and performance. With a fleet that already includes JCB Teletrucks and Loadalls, the Quickspray's compatibility with existing machinery made it an ideal choice.
“The Quickspray gave us the instant ability to go through the yard from one end to the other. It is the most proficient, minimal time and effort machine we have for dust suppression,” said Philip.
In addition to dust suppression, the unit has been used as a mobile water storage bowser, feeding water to Ace Liftaway’s crusher’s internal dust suppression system. Philip praised the unit’s versatility, ease of use, and rapid adaptability to changing weather conditions.
“Weather conditions change by the hour; the unit can dust suppress with controllable water extremely quickly,” he noted.

Ace Liftaway opted for the 1800L Quickspray unit, providing flexibility and the capacity to supply large volumes of water on demand. The unit was delivered with a RAL 1007 coastal-grade paint finish and custom fork pockets to ensure full compatibility with their Teletrucks and Loadalls.
